Life Insurance
Life Insurance is designed to provide financial security for your family by paying a Cash Lump Sum on the premature death of a loved one:
Would you want your family to be?
BETTER OFF? ABOUT THE SAME? WORSE OFF?
We have seen many examples of how important life insurance is. Not having enough cover or none at all places a severe burden on your family.
Some helpful advice to understand some of the terminology used in life insurance.
Inflation Indexation (CPI)
You can protect yourself against inflation and have your sum insured increase with the rate of CPI. This is a good way of allowing your sum insured to increase each year without having to go through an application process. It also means over time the sum insured will have the same buying power as when you originally took out the policy.
Future Insurability.
This option allows you to increase the cover without requiring further medical evidence for special events like the birth of a child, adoption, marriage or the purchase of a new house.
Children’s Future Insurability
Guarantees the ability of your child to take out insurance on a future date without having to undergo any medical assessments or an application to the insurer.
Bereavement Benefit
Upon claim an immediate payment of $10,000 to cover funeral and other costs. This will be deducted from the final settlement.
Terminal Illness Benefit
If you are diagnosed with a terminal illness (and are likely to die within 12 months) the insurer will pay out in advance so you don’t have to wait until you pass away to get the benefit of your insurance cover.
Level Premiums
You can choose to “lock” in your premiums and they are guaranteed never to increase for the life of the policy.
