Insurance Claim Process
The claims process is where the rubber hits the road and proves how good your insurer is when you need it the most.
It is very important that you know the claims process should you ever need it. We encourage you to talk to us as soon as you are aware of a potential claim so that we can help manage the process for you.

Six Steps to claiming with your Insurer:
1. Ring your Insurer or broker IMMEDIATELY to notify the claim or ring us on 0800 904 600 and we will then report your claim on your behalf.
2. You will be assigned a claims manager to look after you and your claim.
3. Forms will be sent to you for completion.
4. Once the forms are received by your insurer your claims manager will start assessing your claim.
5. Additional information maybe required. You may be requested to see an independent medical examiner at the insurers expense.
6. When all requirements are received, the outcome of your claim will be advised to you .
How Long will the process take?
Normally the whole process should take a few days, but please be aware that it can take several weeks (especially if further information is required like further medical evidence to support your claim). The insurers are within their rights to obtain all necessary information if it is reasonable.

5. Additional information maybe required. Please provide reciepts, proof of purchase or any other information required by your insurer.
6. When all requirements are received, the outcome of your claim will be advised to you.
How Long Will the Process Take?
Normally the whole process should only take a few days, but please be aware that it can take several weeks depending on whether there is any further information required. Very large claims or liability claims can take a long time to settle depending on the type of claim and complexity. The insurers are within their rights to obtain all necessary information if it is reasonable.
